Virtual Research Environment (VRE)

Digital platforms that support researchers throughout the entire scientific lifecycle: from discovering data and software services to creating integrated workflows. Each VRE focuses on a specific topic, and all VRE services are harmonized to share information across different activities to facilitate scientific collaboration.

AERO VRE​

Aerosol VRE for Italy integrating ACTRIS, AERONET, WMO, CAMS and ITINERIS data to explore desert dust presence and aerosol types via analysis and download.

AnaEE VRE​

AnaEE VRE within ITINERIS HUB linking Health & Food and ENV domains to explore ecosystem processes and services with integrated environmental data and tools.​

CARBON VRE​

Carbon VRE centralises Italian spatial carbon data and tools to analyse national balance and reservoirs for researchers and public authorities.

CLIMA VRE​

CLIMA VRE integrates climate data from ITINERIS Research Infrastructures to deliver indicators and tools assessing climate change impacts in Italy.

CZ VRE​

CZ VRE links data, tools and observatories on Earth’s Critical Zone to support transdisciplinary research and shared models where rock meets life.

DOWNSTREAM VRE​

Downstream VRE uses OGS and RI data on climate, carbon and landslides, offering tools to visualise, analyse and share integrated datasets.

EV VRE​

EV VRE offers tools to analyse and visualise EBVs and ECVs, integrating in‑situ and remote data from multiple Research Infrastructures.

ISOTOPE VRE​

ISOTOPE VRE centralises Italian environmental isotope data and tools for shared analysis, modelling and management.

BIOMASS VRE​

Biomass VRE supports analysis and modelling of aquatic and terrestrial biomass, integrating remote sensing, lab and field data under FAIR principles.​

Phyto VRE​

Phyto VRE supports analysis and modelling of phytoplankton and aquatic ecosystems, integrating large data volumes with lab and field information.
